Offshore geotechnical site investigation in excess of 4000m water depth

110’-170’E / 20’S-20’N
Delivered with control and shaped by subsurface realities.

From seabed data to decisions teams can defend.

Water depths, sea states, and ground conditions dictate how we design and mobilize a site-specific deployment platform as an integrated geophysical and geotechnical site investigation program for quality, cost effectiveness and fast delivery of data and geotechnical engineering reports. Seas core offshore geotechnical services comprise of in-situ testing and sampling, in-situ instrumentation, advanced soil laboratory testing, and integrated data interpretive reporting.

Deepwater

Operations excellence offshore

Deepwater work demands deep expertise and advanced, purpose-built equipment that can perform reliably in extreme water depths, strong currents and often marginal sea states.

Seas’ drilling vessel is permanently configured with remotely operated, seafloor‑based drilling units for geotechnical investigations in water depths from approximately 10m to beyond 4,000m. An onboard Mako40 topside rig with 4m heave compensation maintains vertical stability during drilling, ensuring data quality in challenging sea states. Drop piston corers and box corers can also be deployed through the topside rig moonpool, enhancing safety during operations in marginal conditions.

  • Geotechnical and geophysical site characterisation
  • Foundation, mooring and cable route investigations
  • Marine geophysical surveys
  • Early identification of geohazards.
Shallow water and transition zones

Precision where conditions vary most.

Shallow offshore environments rarely behave consistently. Seas develops and deploys custom remotely-operated equipment, designed to maintain productivity while increasing personnel safety and respecting sensitive marine settings.

Disciplined execution. Adaptable methods. Reliable ground understanding.

  • We know the environments we work in don’t offer second chances, so we plan with that reality in mind.
  • Through Woocheen, we operate as part of a wider group focused on ocean health, water science and responsible marine development. We plan for the long term, take responsibility for the environments we operate in, and don’t cut corners when the work gets complex.
  • We take real pride in how the work gets done: collaboratively, carefully and with a clear sense of shared responsibility, so our clients can move their projects forward with confidence.

One measured approach from shelf to deepwater

Our one measured approach to project delivery combines customer focus, operational discipline, and data integrity. From coastal margins to ultra-deepwater campaigns, Seas applies the same evidence-led and data driven discipline.
